75 Day CAT Study Plan
Analyze your Performance in Mocks so far. Jot down the list of topics segregated as:
- Strong Areas
- Moderate Areas
- Weak Areas
Above segregation should be the combination of accuracy and speed in different topics.
Now check out the weightage of the topics in CAT as per the past trends mentioned HERE. See how many high weightage topics you are strong with, how many are moderate for you and how many are weak.
Now develop a list of topics which have high weightage and fall in the moderate category for you.
Day 2 to Day 20
Work on these Moderate Areas and try to make them your strong areas. For this, take the help of topic wise tests and Level 1 Questions on these topics in any MBA Prep Book.
Couple the above activity with 1 Full Length CAT Mock every 5 days, followed by indepth analysis and rework based on the action points arrived at post Mock Analysis. Check out the Mock Analysis Tips HERE.
Also, start preparing GK and take 3 IIFT Mocks during this time if you are appearing for IIFT.
Day 21 to Day 35
This time is to be dedicated to your weak topics which have high weightage in the exam. Work on these topics by revising the concepts, taking help of your faculty, mentors and peers if any concept is not clear to you and then practice Level 1 Questions on these topics in any MBA Prep Book.
Take 1 Full Length CAT Mock every 4 days during this time, followed by indepth analysis and working on the actionables arrived at.
Also, keep revising GK and take couple of IIFT Mocks during this time if you are appearing for IIFT.
Day 36 to Day 49
Take 1 Full Length Mock every 3 days from here on, followed by indepth analysis. Simultaneously, revise your moderate and weak areas, solving around 10 questions from each of the topics. This will ensure that on exam day, you do not have any weak area from amongst the topics which have high weightage in the exam.
Also, solve Past Year Papers of 2002- 2003 during this time. And take 2-3 IIFT Mocks during this week.
Day 50 to CAT Day
1 Full Length mock of CAT every 2 days from here on followed by indepth analysis.
And solve Past Year Papers of 2004 to 2006 during this period.
