GIM Admission Eligibility Criteria 2019

  • Candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA of minimum 3 years duration
  • Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination in the year 2020, can also apply. Such candidates, have to submit a certificate from the Principal / Registrar of their University/institution certifying that the candidate has obtained 50% marks or equivalent, based on latest available grades/marks.
  • Candidates satisfying all requirements for the degree by 5 June 2020 may also apply.
  • For admission to Post Graduate Programme in Business Management 2020, only candidates registering for XLRI Admissions Test XAT 2020 of Xavier Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur or CAT- 2019 of the Indian Institutes of Managements (IIMs) or GMAT conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) taken between 1st January 2018 and 20th January 2020 or CMAT- 2020 of All India Council for Technical Education may apply.
  • Applicants should note that the mere fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria will not ensure consideration for short listing by GIM
  • Candidates must declare and maintain a valid and unique email account and a phone number throughout the selection process.

GIM Goa Admission Criteria
GIM Goa Admission Criteria 2020 is a two step process involving the shortlisting criteria and the Final selection Criteria comprising CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT exam score, GD-PI round, Academics among others.

The first part of GIM Goa Admission criteria is its shortlisting criteria for final selection round. A candidate will be shortlisted by GIM if he/she meets the following shortlisting criteria:

  • The qualifying cut-off XAT / CAT / GMAT / CMAT score will be lowered by 15 points for candidates of Goan domicile / origin. Documentary evidence of domicile will have to be uploaded at the time of submitting the application.
  • International / NRI candidates will need valid GMAT score. Fees are marginally higher and are payable in US $ for international candidates. Interviews shall be through video conferencing. 

PGDM (BDA)

  • For PGDM – BDA shortlisting will be face-to-face evaluation and shall be on the basis of profiles (XAT, CAT, GMAT, or CMAT score, qualification, past academic performance, and work experience). Shortlisted candidates shall be invited for interview process in various cities in early March 2019.
  • Candidates for PGDM (BDA) will need to appear for an on-line aptitude test (called GEM), organized by GIM to evaluate the candidates for BDA. The date for GEM will be announced by GIM and informed to candidates invited for GEM.

PGDM (HCM)

  • The PGDM-HCM shortlisting for face-to-face evaluation shall be on the basis of profiles including XAT, CAT, GMAT, or CMAT score, qualification, past academic performance, and work experience. 
  • Shortlisted candidates shall be invited for interview process in various cities in early March 2020.

PGDM
For PGDM, a select group of candidates shall be invited to Goa for Achiever’s Round of interview process in January 2020. All other candidates shall be invited for Regular Round in early March 2020 at various interview centres.

Shortlisting For Achiever’s Round

  •  Interviews shall be held only in Goa and shortlisted candidates shall be eligible to apply for scholarships.
  • Candidates not shortlisted for Achiever’s Round will not be eligible for scholarships. If a candidate shortlisted for Achiever’s Round decides to opt out of Achiever’s Round and attends Regular Round, the candidate will not be eligible for scholarship.
  • Shortlisting shall be based on curricular, extracurricular, and career achievements and profile -qualification, past academic performance, and work experience of the candidates.
  • The shortlist shall be drawn without XAT, CAT, GMAT, or CMAT score to facilitate interview process in January 2020. Scores shall be incorporated later on.
  • If available, candidates are required to submit the competitive examination (XAT, CAT, GMAT, or CMAT) scores at the time of Achiever’s Round interviews.

Shortlisting For Regular Round

  • Shortlisting for PGDM for Regular Round shall be based on XAT, CAT, GMAT, or CMAT score of candidates.

Final Admission Selection Criteria

  • All the shortlisted candidates are eligible to participate in Final selection round for admission to GIM Goa
  • Final Interview Round 2020 at GIM will be held at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Varanasi
  • Final Admission offer at GIM Goa will be based on entrance exam scores, past academic performance, objective assessment, work experience, face to face evaluation  among other parameters.
  • Interview process for Achiever’s round will be held in January 2020 and for Regular round will be held in February/March 2020
  • Result of the selected candidates shall be released in April 2020
