  • It has a splendid 27 acre LEED Platinum rated green campus, ultra-modern resource center, fully air-conditioned residential accommodation with ample recreational opportunities. Certainly, a five-star resort kind of infrastructure. 
  • Overall facilities offered is still is not comparable to the top Institutes of the country. But, much better than many of the private institutes around.

  • There are approximately 43 full-time faculty at Great Lakes, which makes the institute have a decent student-faculty ratio.

 

 

 

 

 

  • Not many of them are Ph.D. holders, which is an indication of the dearth in the expertise of the faculties.
  • There are only a couple of faculties in Strategy and Leadership, while there is no faculty for the area of Entrepreneurship, Learning, and Development.
  • While the institute projects it to be good at Operations as a specialization, when it comes to faculty there are only a few faculties in Operations Management.
  • Less interaction of experts from the industry.

  • Average CTC has gone up to INR 10.14 lakhs which is not a bad figure but definitely low when compared to the top B-schools of the country.
  • 22 students were offered PPOs/PPIs for their outstanding performance during their summer internship.

 

 

 

 

  • Median CTC around INR 10.25 lakhs, which is less when compared to the top 20 colleges.
  • No Tier 1 company visits the campus for placements which is a setback for marketing and finance enthusiasts.
  • Major profiles offered here are secondary role or backend role and not at par with what is offered in actual top 15 colleges of the country. 
  • While the institute claims to be the best in marketing specialization, it fails to reflect the same in placements.

Great Lakes Review: Admission Process

  • Candidates who have appeared for CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ CMAT and have applied to Great Lakes will be shortlisted on the basis of information provided in the application form.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the final stage of the selection process.
  • Applicants are evaluated based on GMAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT scores, past academic performance, essays, work experience and performance in the personal interview.
