Living to its reputation once again, IIM Bangalore successfully closed the placement of around 400 students in mere 4 days. Most prominent recruiters consisted of Consulting firms, Investment Banks and IT Companies. Here we bring to you the glimpse of IIM Bangalore Placement Report 2015.
Highlights of IIM Bangalore Placement Report 2015
- Highest domestic salary offered by investment bank was INR 37 – 40 lac
- Salaries offered by consulting firms ranged from INR 20 – 30 lac
- 150+ recruiters, 450 offers across 200+ profiles
- FMCG cohort offered salaries in the range of INR 20 – 25 lac
- About 30% of the batch was placed in consulting sector
Goldman Sachs, J P Morgan, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank and Citibank came on the first day of the final placements. Other banks and financial institutions included Kotak Investment Bank, ICICI Securities, ICICI Prudential, Yes Bank, Axis Bank and Edelweiss.
Boston Consulting Group made 16 offers, followed by Mckinsey and Accenture Management Consulting which made 11 offers each. Other leading names included Bain and Co., AT Kearney, Roland Berger and Alvarez & Marsal. Arthur D Little and PRTM Consulting also recruited from IIM Bangalore.
General Management profiles were offered by major industry players like Aditya Birla Group, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Administrative Services (TAS), CK Birla, L&T, Siemens and General Electric Group.
Technology and e-commerce
Amazon and Snapdeal were the leading offer makers here with 17 offers each. Other leading names included Flipkart, Urban Ladder, AskMeBazaar, Quickr, Common Floor and Ola Cabs.
