IIM Rohtak has successfully completed the summer placement process for the Batch of 2017 – 2019 with the institute yet again achieving the 100% placement record. The highest stipend offered this year stood at INR 2,47,800 for two months and the average for the batch was INR 50,110. The batch strength is 252, which is 67% higher than the previous batch. This year saw an unprecedented increase in the number of new recruiters. More than 100 companies visited the campus getting interns from IIM Rohtak for two month period in summer of 2018. This is 65% increases from the last year.

There was a marked increase in the number of new companies recruiting campus this year with 40 new recruiters making offers to the students. Moreover, this year witnessed a six fold increase in the number of FMCG companies visiting the campus as compared to last year.

The highest stipend offered this year stood at INR 2,47,800 for two months and the average for the batch was INR 50,110. Sales and marketing continued to be the preferred choice of recruiters with 49% securing internship in this domain. Some of the prominent recruiters included Yes Bank, Dabur, HPCL, Tata Steel, BPCL, Patanjali and IndiaMart. The roles offered were highly diversified spanning across Market Research, B2B/B2C Marketing, Sales, Brand Strategy, Franchising and Advertising.

 

Finance firms were the next in line with 18% of the batch getting offers in this domain. The highest stipend was obtained in this domain. Regular recruiters like Arcesium, ICICI Bank, Yes Bank, Reserve Bank of India, SBI, Thomson Reuters, Indus Valley Partners, Muthoot FinCorp, etc. offered wide ranging profiles based on students’ interests and experience. Many new names were added to this tally this year such as H&R block, Synergy Capital, DE Shaw among others.

Other major sectors included General Management, IT and Consulting and Operations. Some of the other prominent firms visiting the campus were Google, Essel Group, Wipro, Cognizant Business Consulting and Hitachi Consulting.
