Despite the increase in the batch size by 47% making it the largest ever batch, placement 2018 at IMI Delhi has recorded an average salary of Rs.12.23 lakhs. Among the 88 companies who made placement offers, 21% were the first time recruiters.

The highest salary in Placement 2018 at IMI New Delhi has gone up by 32% to Rs. 20.75 lakhs as against Rs. 15.6 lakhs last year.

Although the average salary in Placement 2018 has dropped by 2% to Rs. 12.23 lakhs from Rs. 12.54 lakhs last year, it is a marginal decline given the fact that the batch size has increased by 47%.

PPOs at IMI New Delhi have also increased to 40 in Placement 2018.

More recruiters in Placement 2018
Prominent feature in the placement 2018 at IMI New Delhi is that along with the regular recruiters more new companies visited the campus for placement across sectors and domains.

Out of the 88 recruiters who participated in made offers in Placement 2018 at IMI, 21% were the new recruiters who participated for the first time in the placement process at IMI New Delhi.

Average salary for top 10% stood at Rs. 16.51 lakhs, for top 20% it was Rs.15.19 lakhs and for top 30% it is Rs.14.57 LPA

Sector & Domain-wise Placements
The largest ever batch size of the students at IMI New Delhi got placed faster also. The students got an opportunity to showcase their skills in all the sectors.

BFSI: 31% share in Placement 2018
31% of the batch opted to pursue a career in the BFSI sector. IMI New Delhi saw a surge in the number of opportunities offered by RBS, CitiBank, Darashaw, CRISIL, ANZ Bank, Yes Bank, ICICI Bank, Tata Capital, L&T Financial Services, Axis Bank, Envestnet Yodlee, TresVista Financial Services, Future Generali, HDFC Bank, HDFC Life, ICICI Securities, DHFL Pramerica, Verity and more.

Consulting, Analytics & Market Research: 26% share in Placement
IMI New Delhi had the privilege of hosting various companies in the Consulting and Market Research business. The batch had 26% students opting for a career in this sector with major recruiters being Bain Capability Centre, Deloitte, EY GDS, EY India, GEP, KPMG, Kantar Millward Brown, Cians, ADP, Euromonitor, Nielsen and many more.

IT/ITES: 22% share in Placement
With 22% of the batch opting for a career in IT/ITES sector, IMI New Delhi witnessed companies offering upgraded profiles in this sector. The major recruiters from IT/ITES sector were Accenture, Capgemini, Infosys, GENPACT, Wipro, HCL, MAQ Software, eClerx among others.  

FMCG/FMCD/Retail/Healthcare: 11% share in Placement
11% of the batch was offered an opportunity to pursue a career in this sector. The presence of some of the biggest brands in this sector is a testimony to the industry response this year. Profiles were offered by companies such as Asian Paints, Nestle, Reckitt Benckiser, Emami, HUL, Havmor, Piramal Group, Fairtrade LLC, Moolchand, Perfetti Van Melle, Coffee Day Beverages and many other recruiters in this sector.

Others: 10% share in Placement
Companies from other sectors also visited the campus. IMI New Delhi witnessed an increase in the number of companies from the PSU, Manufacturing, Automobile, Real Estate and Media sector for recruitments.

The major recruiters from these sectors were Sony Pictures Networks India Pvt. Ltd., IOCL, Reliance Industries Limited, Shell, RPG – CEAT, Vedanta Resources, Volvo-Eicher Commercial Vehicles, Gulf Oil, TATA Housing, Cinepolis, Shopclues, and others, offered splendid opportunities to our students. This accounts for 10% of the batch getting lucrative offers from these companies.
