In this article we bring to you the details of JBIMS Mumbai Admissions 2017. Registrations to apply for JBIMS Mumbai are yet to open and expected to open around Dec last week to January first week.
JBIMS Mumbai Admissions 2017
JBIMS Mumbai will be conducting its selection process on its own this year and will not be using CET Counselling for the same.
Number of Seats
There will be around 57 seats for OMS candidates, while the remaining for Maharashtra candidates.
Scores to be Accepted
Only CAT and MH-CET Scores will be accepted for Indian resident students and GMAT for non Indian resident applicants. GMAT should have been taken on or after January 2013.
Scores to not be Accepted
This year XAT / CMAT / MAT scores will not be valid for admission to JBIMS Mumbai.
Shortlists for GD/GE/PI will be rolled out based on Student Profile + CAT/CET Score basis. Highly likely for good weightage to be given to past academics and relevant work experience.
Reservation for SC / ST / OBC and other reserved categories, but only for candidates belonging to Maharashtra state (Domicile or class 12th from Maharashtra).
Application Fee for SC / ST / OBC and other reserved categories from Maharashtra is INR 1000, while for everyone else, it is INR 1500.
What does the New Process Mean for you
- Cutoff for CAT is expected to remain around 99.5 percentile for JBIMS
- Weightage introduced for Academics – may hurt candidates who were not with strong academics and were looking forward to JBIMS as a pure score based option.
- No XAT / MAT/ CMAT scores to be considered. So everyone has to rely either on mis managed CAT 2016 Exam or appear for speed based MH CET 2017 Exam
