JBIMS Summer Placements 2018 witnessed the highest stipend of whopping INR 5.50 Lakh fo 2 months and the average stipend of INR 1.89 Lakh for the summer internship period of 2 months. Consulting domain saw a rise in the number of companies for the process as well as the number of students recruited. 16% of the batch was hired by the consulting sector companies. Recruiters such as Accenture Strategy, Deloitte USI and McKinsey & Co. offered enticing roles providing an excellent opportunity to the students to work with premier consulting firms.

BFSI & IB sector was the biggest recruiter with about 30% of the batch bagging lucrative roles such as Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, Equity Research, Securities, Retail Banking. Top recruiters in this sector were Aditya Birla Capital Limited, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finserv, Barclays, Citibank, Development Bank of Singapore, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, ICICI Bank, J.P. Morgan, Nomura, Piramal Finance, and Yes Bank among others.

FMCG and Pharmaceutical companies such as Abbott, Castrol, GSK Pharma, Hindustan Unilever Limited, Pernod Ricard and Raymond offered attractive roles in Sales & Marketing, Corporate Finance and Product Management. The Manufacturing and Conglomerate sectors witnessed participation from top recruiters such as JSW, Reliance Industries, Saint Gobain, TAS, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, Titan, Ultratech and Welspun.

The technology sector firms offered varied roles in General Management, Strategy, Finance and Operations. Renowned companies in this sector such as ACT Fibernet, Capgemini, Mahindra Comviva, Pepperfry.com, TCS and Wipro were a part of the placement process.
