SNAP 2014 Analysis : Sectional
General English – Easy to Moderate
Quantitative Aptitude – Easy to Moderate
General Awareness – Moderate to Difficult
Logical Reasoning – Moderate
Section was dominated by Vocabulary type, Usage based questions, Grammar, Idioms, Phrasal verbs, Sentence Completion and Sentence Correction. Unlike last year, there were 2 RCs in SNAP 2014 which were directly picked extracts from two essays. This year ParaJumbles were given a miss in the examination.
30-33 attempts in the section will be a good attempt.
As predicted by Career Anna in the SNAP 2014 Strategy article, the section was dominated by Arithmetic viz. Time Speed Distance, Time and Work, Percentage, Profit and Loss, Average, Clocks and Calendars. Section was tougher when compared to SNAP 2013.
Basic Algebra, Logarithm and Coordinate Geometry also marked their presence in the paper. However, questions were mostly on the easier side from these topics.
30-32 attempts in the section will be a good attempt.
This was the toughest section of the paper this year with inclination towards Static GK unlike expected orientation towards Current Affairs by many coaching institutes.
History, Government Policies, Sports, Business, Economics, Awards, Movies, Books and Authors were some of the topics covered from Static GK side.
We will like to mention here that 12 questions were from Career Anna SNAP GK Material and Sessions (11 questions from material and 1 from Live session).
9-11 attempts in the section will be a good attempt.
Questions were of moderate difficulty level but were lengthy and time consuming, making question selection important in the section. Questions revolved around Strengthening of Arguments, Seating Arrangement, Family tree, Alpha numeric series, Statement Assumption and Puzzles etc.
20 to 22 attempts in the section will be a good attempt.
