TISS Mumbai Final Placements 2019 are successfully completed with TISS Mumbai announcing 100% placement completion for Human Resource Management and Labour Relations (HRM and LR) programme. Both the average and median salary crossed INR 20 lakh for the first time with Average Annual CTC at INR 20.06 lakh per annum and Median CTC at INR 20.05 lakh per annum. Highest Salary stood at INR 30.33 lakh per annum.

- Colgate Palmolive offered the highest salary of INR 30.33 lakh per annum. This was around 10% higher than the last year’s highest salary of INR 27 lakh per annum offered by Reckitt Benckiser in 2018.
- Median Salary in 2019 increased to INR 20.05 lakh as compared to INR 18.5 lakh in 2018.
- Average Salary in 2019 increased to INR 20.06 lakh as compared to INR 18.77 lakh in 2018.
- Average Salary increased in 2019 by nearly 7% and median salary increased by approximately 8.4%.
About 38 companies, nine of them first-timers including Aarti Industries, Dell EMC, Infosys Consulting, Lodha Group, Swiggy, Taj Group, Udaan, Walmart and Yodlee Envestnet, made offers to the 67 students who participated in the placement process. Sixteen students with relevant work experience bagged lateral placement offers and were hired in middle-management roles by the likes of Amazon, Deloitte India, Lodha Group, L&T Infotech, Sterlite Power, Walmart and Wipro among others. The total number of pre-placement offers was 22.
The FMCG sector absorbed the highest number of students, making around 18% of the total offers, followed by IT/ITeS/technology and consulting with 16% and 13% of offers, respectively and conglomerates snapped up 10%. Maruti Suzuki, Citibank, Aditya Birla Group, Mahindra & Mahindra, Reliance Industries, TAS, Accenture, Asian Paints, ITC, L’Oréal, Marico, Nestlé, Reckitt Benckiser, GAIL, Airtel, Oyo Rooms, Swiggy, Samsung R&D, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories were among the prominent recruiters on campus.
With above placements, TISS Mumbai lives upto the legacy of being the top Business School in India for Masters in Human Resources and Labour Relations, which is considered equivalent to MBA in HR in industry. TISS Mumbai well justified its name among the Star League for MBA in HR in India alongside XLRI Jamshedpur.
