There are about 150 MBA colleges who offer MBA admissions 2019 based on XAT 2019 scores. The last date to apply for XAT 2019 Exam is November 30, 2018, without payment of late fee. The last date to apply with the payment of late fee is December 7, 2018.
GK Section: Excluded for Percentile Calculation
Out of 100 questions in MCQ format, 25 questions are from GK section. This section in XAT 2019 exam is not counted for calculation of percentile.
Essay Writing: Eliminated
There will be no subjective Essay Writing test in XAT 2019 exam. Since the number of questions is to remain the same in XAT 2019, the other sections in XAT will consist of 3-4 additional questions.
XAT is considered more difficult compared to other MBA entrance exams. It has a scoring pattern of +1 mark for each correct answer and -0.25 mark negative mark for an incorrect answer makes it difficult to score beyond 35-40 marks.
Moreover, since last year the XAT exam has gone as computerized format and number of questions which determine the percentile score in XAT have been reduced to a total of 72. The difficulty level, as well as the reduced number of questions, will fetch high percentile at low scores in the XAT exam.
The experts are unanimous that a score of 35-36 marks would lead to around 95-96 percentile in XAT 2019.
