XLRI Jamshedpur Admission: XLRI Jamshedpur Admission 2020 process is likely to open in the third week of August 2019 along with the opening of XAT 2020 registration. XLRI is the XAT 2020 exam conducting authority and provides the facility to apply for XAT 2020 and for one or multiple management programmes of XLRI with a common application form by paying a nominal additional application fee. XLRI admission criteria and the process for PGDM 2020 is based on XAT 2020 scores for domestic candidates and XAT 2020 or GMAT (Taken between December 1, 2017, and December 31, 2019) scores for NRI and foreign nationals.

XLRI Eligibility Criteria for Admission 2020

XLRI Eligibility Criteria for PGDM (BM) & PGDM (HRM)

  • The candidate must hold a recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline.
  • No minimum percentage of marks in graduation has been prescribed for XLRI admission 2020.
  • All Indian candidates should apply and appear for XAT 2020.
  • NRI and Foreign candidates may apply either through GMAT (Taken between December 1, 2017,and December 30, 2019) or through XAT 2020.
  • A candidate appearing for the final year bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply.
  • It is mandatory for a final year student, who is provisionally considered eligible by XLRI Jamshedpur and offered admission, to submit the mark-sheet and degree certificate of the final year bachelor’s degree examination at a later date as decided by XLRI.
  • Work experience is not mandatory for PGDM (BM) and PGDM (HRM) programs. Fresh graduates and those with work experience can apply.

XLRI Eligibility Criteria for PGDM (GM)

  • The candidate must hold a recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline.
  • Five Years of Work experience is mandatory for PGDM (GM). So, No Fresh Graduate can apply.
  • At least five years of managerial experience is required as on March 31, 2020, in an organization of repute in the public, private or non-governmental sector after completing graduation.
  • The work experience of the candidate employed in a full-time job only will be considered.

XLRI Jamshedpur XAT 2020 cutoffs for all the three PGDM programmes are expected to remain different as per the past trends. Besides, XLRI gives higher emphasis on other quality parameters in its admission process. Going by the past trends, following cutoffs are expected for XLRI admission 2020.

XLRI Jamshedpur Shortlisting Criteria

The first part of XLRI Admission criteria is the shortlisting for final selection round. A candidate is shortlisted by XLRI Jamshedpur based on the following criteria:

  • On the basis of their scores obtained in XAT or GMAT and as per the admission eligibility criteria.
  • The shortlisting is based on the sectional as well as overall score in XAT or GMAT.
  • The academic profile of the candidates also plays a key role in shortlisting for PGDM (BM) and PGDM (HRM) programmes.
  • For PGDM (GM) relevant and quality work experience of 5 years and above is considered in shortlisting.

XLRI Final Selection Criteria

  • All the shortlisted candidates are eligible to participate in the final selection round for admission to the XLRI PGDM programmes.
  • The Personal Interview round is usually conducted between mid- February and March in Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, and Jamshedpur. 
  • The final selection list is based on a composite score, which takes into account the applicant’s academic record, entrance test scores, work experience and performance in the PI round.
  • XLRI releases the final admission list in the month of April and the academic session commences from June 2020.
