Overview


Launched by IIM Rohtak in the year 2019, the five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) is first of its kind in North India after IIM Indore started IPM in 2011. It is meant for the young students with managerial and leadership aspirations and carries the IIM brand ensuring good career growth. After 3 years of the study schedule, the IPM students become the part of IIM Rohtak MBA/PGDM batch leading to high placements. 

IPMAT Rohtak 2021 is likely to be conducted on July 17, 2021. The registrations for IPMAT Rohtak 2021 began on 15th Feb 2021. The complete schedule is given below.

IIM Rohtak will be conducting IPMAT 2021 for admission to its 5 year integrated programme. The candidates for IPM will be selected on the basis of overall performance in IPMAT, Written Ability Test (WAT) & Personal Interview (PI).

Eligibility Criteria


General and NC-OBC Category

  • The candidate should have scored a minimum of 60% in class 10th/SSC and class 12th/ HSC or equivalent examination in case of General and NC-OBC category candidates.
  • The candidate should be of maximum 20 years of age as on July 31, 2021.

SC, ST and PwD Category

  • The candidate should have scored a minimum of 55% in class 10th/SSC and class 12th/ HSC or equivalent examination in case of SC, ST category candidates.
  • The candidate should be of maximum 20 years of age as on July 31, 2021.

Important points on Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates who are likely to complete standard XII/ HSC or equivalent by the end of July 31, 2021, can also apply, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria
  • If selected, such candidates will be offered admission to the programme provisionally.
  • At the time of registration for the programme, such candidate must have to produce X and XII standard mark sheet (securing minimum marks i.e. 60% for General and NC-OBC or 55% for SC, ST, and PwD) along with school-leaving certificate/migration certificate, failing which the candidate’s provisional admission offer will stand cancelled.
  • The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in X and XII Standard would be calculated based on the aggregate marks of all subjects that appear in the mark sheet/grade sheet, irrespective of the Board’s regulation.
  • In case the candidates are awarded grades or grade points instead of marks, the conversion of grades to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the Board/ Competent Authority explaining the method of conversion from where they have obtained the certificate.
  • Applicants pursuing their X and/or XII standard from international schools affiliated to foreign board’s like IGCSE (International General Certificate for Secondary Education) and IB (International Baccalaureate) can also apply.

IPMAT Rohtak 2020 Exam Analysis

Due to Covid Pandemic, IPM Rohtak has changed the pattern for IPMAT 2020. IPM 2020 had more or less same difficulty level as that of last year. It is expected that the overall cut-off for shortlisting may remain same as that of last year with a slight deviation. 

IPMAT 2020 Analysis: Quantitative Ability(MCQs)

  • This section had 20 questions.
  • Quant section in IPMAT 2020 was difficult and was time consuming.
  • Level of difficulty was similar as that of last year.
  • Many questions in the test paper were based on PnC, Averages, Time Speed & Distance, SI, Square and Cube Roots, and was a mix of concepts.

Exam Pattern


IPMAT Rohtak 2021 will be conducted in online mode across 34 cities in India. IPMAT is an objective-type test comprising MCQs questions. There are three sections namely Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability. There are 120 questions in total with a time duration of  2 hours and each correct answer carries 4 marks. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer for MCQs. Candidates must answer the sections in a pre-specified order and this order is same for all the candidates.
